Group Counseling
Group Description
Are you a person who struggles with anxiety? Do you find yourself stuck in a worry loop? If so, our weekly C.A.L.M. Support Group at Paramount Counseling Services provides a safe, confidential, and supportive environment for adult men and women who would like to learn tools and techniques to reduce anxiety and worry, and increase connection and peace. C.A.L.M. stands for “Centered, Authentic, Liberated, Mindful” – these are our guiding principles that lead us toward a more serene and grounded existence.
Centered
With compassionate support you will learn tools to help you stay centered and grounded amidst life’s uncertainties. Through various techniques and practices, we will explore how to ground ourselves in the present moment, fostering a sense of stability and calm.
Authenticity
The key to our group dynamic. Participants are encouraged to share openly and honestly, free from judgment or criticism. By embracing vulnerability and authenticity, individuals can explore the root causes of their anxiety and connect with others on a deeper level, one step at a time. Each individual’s pace is respected and supported in our safe group environment.
Liberated
Anxiety can feel like a prison, trapping individuals in a cycle of fear and worry. In C.A.L.M. group, we work towards liberation from these constraints. Through cognitive-behavioral strategies and experiential exercises, participants gain the tools to break free from negative thought patterns and live more freely and fully.
Mindful
Learn the transformative power of mindfulness in managing anxiety. Through mindfulness practices, we develop the ability to observe our thoughts and feelings with curiosity and compassion, allowing us to respond to them in more skillful ways.
